Christopher Peter Meloni is an American actor who is well-known for his roles on the famous television shows like 'Law and Order Special Victims Unit. At the age of 18, he began to develop an interest in acting. In the University of Colorado at Boulder, he studied acting. His television characters have gained him a lot of recognition. The ability of his characters to appear from both sides of the law is what has caught the attention of audiences. He played the part of a serial killer on his debut television show and then went on to take on the role of an NYPD detective. Because of his appearances on smaller screens, he's been awarded many nominations for highly coveted Emmy Awards as well as PRISM Awards.
